Originally from Oregon, Katie Richanbach has lived in New York City since 2006 where she is a Communication Design major at Parsons The New School for Design (Class of 2010). In her four years at Parsons she has interned for a wide range of companies including Sterling & Ross Publishers and Glassnote Entertainment Group.
Even as a student, Richanbach's book covers at Sterling & Ross were internationally published. At Glassnote, she had an integral role in a branding and new media campaign that resulted in a 600% increase in social media interaction with fans. She was also the lead designer on ad campaigns for Grammy winners, Phoenix. Her work with Phoenix included full page ads in Billboard Magazine.
As a freelance designer Richanbach has seen her work featured on many popular design blogs. Her 1960s inspired poster design for an indie film was featured on GLAMOUR.com.
Richanbach's design work combines a clean aesthetic with fresh ideas and a sense of humor. Her pop appeal and background in promotional work makes her an ideal graphic designer for companies and projects that need to brand themselves and get their message to the masses.
