I am a California born, Oregon raised, New York educated communication designer and digital media coordinator. I graduated in 2010 from Parsons The New School for Design with a BFA in Communication Design. Over the last 10 years I have worked with a wide range of companies including V Magazine, Chimera Music, and AHM Brands. My work allows me to design across a variety of applications, including web platforms, printed collateral, and package design. As the world of digital media is evolving I am excited by the way that design can be used to enhance communication to the end-user through digital marketing.
Like any self-respecting girl, I love a a top-knot and striped tee. On the weekends I like to thrift, and am a sucker for vintage ledgers and statistics books. And, to balance out my time at the computer, I sew quilts, which I have been doing since I was 8 years old. No big deal, but I won a ribbon for one of my quilts at the Lane County Fair in 1998.
I regularly host community events, all of which are promoted solely though social media. In New York, I organized the “Life-Size Game of Where’s Waldo”, which was featured on CBS New York, The Village Voice, Refinery 29 and more. In Eugene, Oregon I hosted “Drink & Draw” for two years, which raised funds for local arts organizations, and was featured in the Eugene Weekly. I also hosted a monthly social hour. The name tags at each event provide a prompt, inspired by my favorite game as a child, “Choose.” In the past name tags have include:
- George Washington or Abraham Lincoln?
- Donuts or Bagels?
Want to tell me what you chose? Or have a “choose” idea for a future happy hour? Let me know.
